Securonix Announces Partnership with Veritas to Deliver Enhanced CyberOps Solutions and Bolster Ransomware Defenses

We are excited to announce our new partnership with Veritas, a global leader in data management solutions. This collaboration is even more critical in today’s threat landscape, where organizations are facing unprecedented attacks from sophisticated ransomware. These cybercriminals demand large payments to restore customer systems and data, and often, even after paying the ransom, companies never receive the promised decryption keys.

This situation highlights the importance of a well-protected backup and restore capability in the enterprise. If a company is hit by ransomware, restoring from secure backups is often their only course of action.  However, cybercriminals understand this too, and are increasingly targeting backup and restore systems like Veritas. If they can destroy or compromise these systems, they can extort organizations from a position of greater power. Account takeover and other insider threats are a critical tool for cybercriminals to gain access to backup/restore systems.

Here’s where the partnership between Securonix and Veritas comes in. We’re providing joint customers with an increased level of protection for their Veritas backup and restore capabilities. By directly ingesting Veritas logs, Securonix performs advanced security analytics that include visibility into backup and restore system activity. This allows us to identify potential threats and insider actions. Additionally, we provide a Veritas-centric dashboard that offers a clear view of your backup environment’s security posture.

The value of this capability to our customers was recently emphasized by our own Mark Stevens, VP of Channel, at the Veritas customer launch event.  This enhanced protection against ransomware attacks is a major focus for both Securonix and Veritas, and we’re planning multiple partnership activities to promote this important and relevant cybersecurity solution.

In addition to the benefits outlined above, this partnership integrates seamlessly with our recently launched Securonix EON AI-Reinforced capabilities. Securonix EON utilizes next-generation AI to reinforce your CyberOps, enabling you to proactively hunt threats, streamline investigations, and automate workflows. By working together, Securonix and Veritas are committed to providing organizations with the tools and resources they need to stay ahead of cyber threats, protect their critical data, and  bolster their defenses against the growing threat of ransomware.
